Our platform has a series of data processing tiers and calculation engines producing data users can consume, visually and programmatically. We focus on providing perspective based upon times, prices, and other market metrics - blockchain related to give you a more complete view of the market.
We gather data regularly from upstream sources (other platforms). We also allow third parties to supply us with their data which we host and make available for website platform users.
One clear aim of our platform is the ability to collect and process information giving users metrics on data that would have to calculate for themselves. Importantly, we aim to go across the market rather than looking purely on an individual asset level. As a very simple differentiation there are excellent platforms whereby you can write scripts to look on an individual asset level’s price action and perform automated trading. Our platform focuses more on the data across the market.
The team behind Crypto Statto are passionate about cryptocurrency, have been in the market for many years, have a background in finance and technology. We see cryptocurrency as a major asset class that can help the individual keep assets outside the standard financial system and maintain a speculative store of value, a unit of account, and a medium of exchange.
Our goal is simple - to provide cross market information to help those involved in the cryptocurrency space understand more about the market.
One big challenge with the cryptocurrency market is its volatility. We often see 85% drops in the cryptocurrency market. Our team at Crypto Statto set out to build the automated tools to help us improve our own risk management. To be able to use better metrics to know when to underweight and overweight assets. Note, we do not think our platform can do this alone, each individuals' trading strategy and risk appetite are unique.
For certain, many visitors to this platform will be following channels on YouTube and other social media to add to their knowledge with regards to being able to make decisions on trading. The one challenge with these types of platforms is that they tend to not be consistent in their analysis and conclusions. Objective is to provide regular updates to help users make more consistent conclusions on the state of the market will stop.
One of the biggest challenges as a trader is the time taken to do this and the manual running of charts to view currency against currency. We focus on a top-down, lateral, and bottom-up approach. There are many great tools for this already but consuming and using this data is hard to undertake.
We focus on delivering data periodically, regularly, we retain historical datasets, and provide a variety of mechanisms to let our users access this data.
In addition to data being regularly published to our platform we also put this information in to platform thereby allowing dashboards charts tables to automatically be available to our users. These charts are intended to give perspectives on the market we don't normally observe by looking at traditional price action charts for assets.
Many other platforms provide excellent visualisations of indicators and market related information. On certain pages we are embedding these plugins to help our users get a better experience on the market.
We source our data from different clients and our processing tiers are not currently running to deliver data as low latency.
We go to big lengths to ensure our data does what we intend but much of our data is sourced from upstream clients. We may have data that is incomplete and may need further improvement. Data periodicity can be an issue too, we use APIs that may themselves not deliver results accurately. APIs can sometimes produce inaccurate prices.
We prefer to focus on analysing errors and building data tools that verifies the data quality to make this publicly available rather than trying to validate it behind the scenes. These tools are coming on stream later to the launch of Crypto Statto.
We strongly recommend undertaking your own analysis of our data and market data. We are sure you have heard of arbitrage, it is one way in which data can differ, it is prudent to source data from multiple locations. Many advise not relying upon the exchange you trade on purely for your trading insights. We recommend using multiple sources of information when reaching conclusions, with backtesting.
Our current version of Crypto Statto is proving that data gathering and publishing to our platform is working. We have provided a view to all data currently published to our platform. Take a look here.
As you can already see, we are delivering data to Crypto Statto already. We will be adding data to our dashboards, and adding more power views to add metrics to the market.
Whilst we are not advocating using any one source alone, we are currently developing a trade signal application on Crypto Statto.
